Born in Cuba in 1950, third generation master blender Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia rolled his first cigar at the young age of 11, and it was then that his passion for tobacco and premium cigars was born. After becoming a world-renowned master roller in Cuba and earning many accolades, Garcia began his journey toward even bigger goals.

In 2003, Garcia came to Miami and opened a small cigar factory called El Rey de los Habanos with his son, Jaime, and daughter, Janny. His early blends received critical acclaim and rave reviews. This was the perfect foundation for the company to grow, and it grew quickly. Leveraging the expertise that Jose Pepin gained from launching the Tatuaje, San Cristobal, or La Aroma de Cuba brands, he had the expertise to bring this vision to life. Along with his eponymous Don Pepin Garcia brand, all the pieces were in place for Pepin to take the company to new heights.

In 2008, Jaime Garcia developed the original and top-rated My Father blend which was a tremendous accomplishment.  In 2009, the family moved their thriving operation to a state-of-the-art factory and farm in Estelí, Nicaragua, that would take on the name of Jaime’s incredible new top-shelf blend. The opening of My Father Cigars S.A. brought forth a new, prosperous chapter for My Father Cigars, and the Garcia family dream became a reality.

In Miami, the operation consists of a tenured team of cigar rolling experts, a meticulous quality control process, and a massive warehouse and distribution facility to keep up with the growing demand. Through the growth, the family is all heavily involved in all aspects of the business from seed to ash ensuring that the My Father Cigar brand matches the standards set by Jose Pepin so many years ago.

Cloaked in a gorgeous dark brown Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, who’s subtle sweetness hides an inner strength, this full bodied blend is rounded out by three different Nicaraguan fillers, all grown on the Garcia’s farms as well as Corojo and Criollo binders. Offered in 3 box pressed sizes; a 6×56 Toro, a 5×60 Grand Robusto and 6×52 Toro Fino, plus the 5 5/8×46 Corona Gorda that are packaged in elegant 23 count boxes, echoing the original My Father line with a unique and distinctive label recreated from an antique 1905 Victorian lithograph.

Le Bijou (The Jewel) 1922 is a blend that has been created within the well-known brand “My Father”.

Jose “Pepin” Garcia has made this in honor, appreciation and memory of his father, who was born in 1922.

It is presented in an elegant white box of 23 cigars, identified with a second label with the name of this unique blend.

Its finishing touches are composed of a Habano O.O. (Oscuro) wrapper, this is due to its intense color within the naturally variety. This is a Full-Bodied blend with and exquisite and exceptional aroma.

“La Promesa”, ‘The Promise,’ refers to the promise made by company patriarch Jose “Pepin” Garcia to his family before leaving his native Cuba. He promised to prove himself, to make something of himself in the cigar world outside of Cuba.  He promised to honor his family and his tobacco heritage.  According to My Father, the company as it stands today—with its

farms in Nicaragua and factories in both Nicaragua and Miami—is the fulfillment of that promise. My Father-La Promesa is covered in a dark, Ecuadoran Habano rosado oscuro wrapper, with binder and filler tobaccos from the Garcia family farms in Nicaragua. Packaged in 20-count boxes, the line comes in five sizes: Robusto Grande, at 5 1/2 X 54 ring gauge; Toro, 6 X 52; Lancero, 7 1/2 X 38; Petite, 4 1/2 X 50; and Corona Gorda, 5 1/2 X 48.
