We are a family owned and operated company headquartered in Miami, Florida with agricultural and manufacturing facilities in Estelí, Nicaragua. As a vertically integrated cigar manufacturer, we control every process, from our agricultural operations in the fertile valleys of the Estelí, Condega, and the famed Jalapa regions in Nicaragua to our distribution center in Miami, Florida.
Our manufacturing facilities consist of farms, greenhouses, curing barns, fermentation warehouses, selection and sorting departments, production facilities, a state of the art box factory, and a first class packaging operation. Each and every department is fully committed to making sure quality is our top priority!
Perdomo Cigars is the only cigar manufacturer to completely absorb the punitive SCHIP federal excise tax on all of its brands, and we will continue to do so. As a family business, we have held our prices and in many cases reduced them in order to be extremely competitive. Our approach is to continue offering the highest quality premium cigars at affordable prices.
Tabacalera Perdomo produces some of the most sought after handmade cigars that set the standard for quality and flavor around the world. Our tobaccos are well-aged and have complex flavors which offer cigar enthusiasts a rich and satisfying smoking experience. We hope you enjoy our cigars and invite you to visit us in Miami or Nicaragua to learn more about Perdomo and become part of our family.
We appreciate your loyalty and continued support.
Best Regards,

The roots of the Perez-Carrillo family are in Cuba, where Ernesto Sr. was born in 1904. He began learning about tobacco and cigars early in his childhood from his father who rolled and sold penny cigars in the streets of Havana. After working as a tobacco buyer for many years, Ernesto Sr. launched the family cigar dynasty in 1948 when he purchased El Credito, a small cigar factory in Havana. The Perez-Carrillo family became well-respected in Cuba, and Ernesto Sr. was elected to the Senate in 1954 and 1958.
But, as the Cuban Revolution took hold and Castro gained control of Cuba, the Perez-Carrillo family’s life changed forever. Ernesto Sr. was arrested several times for his political beliefs, and the government confiscated the family’s properties including the beloved El Credito factory. Fearing for their safety, the family fled to Miami.

Ernesto Sr. expected the move to be temporary. The Master Blender and cigar maker envisioned moving his family back to Cuba once the political climate settled. While he waited, he took every odd job he could find to support his family. As it became increasingly clear that returning to Cuba was not to be, Ernesto Sr. focused on making Miami his home, eventually realizing that the talents for which he was known in Cuba were the key to the family’s future in their new home. So he returned to what he did best: making cigars. Nine years passed, but finally Ernesto Sr. was able to purchase a cigar factory in Little Havana, fittingly naming it El Credito.

Today, Ernesto gives credit to his father for teaching him most of what he knows about cigars. As young as 4 years old, he would spend countless hours with his father in the tobacco fields in Cuba’s prime growing region, the Vuelta Abajo. It was in Cuba where Ernesto began to appreciate the art of growing tobacco. The most valuable lessons Ernesto learned from his father were from the examples he set in his everyday life – dedication to work, humility, patience and respect. These are the same principles behind each cigar created by Master Blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo.
OUR FAMILY HISTORY
Born in Cuba in 1950, third generation master blender Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia rolled his first cigar at the young age of 11, and it was then that his passion for tobacco and premium cigars was born. After becoming a world-renowned master roller in Cuba and earning many accolades, Garcia began his journey toward even bigger goals.
In 2003, Garcia came to Miami and opened a small cigar factory called El Rey de los Habanos with his son, Jaime, and daughter, Janny. His early blends received critical acclaim and rave reviews. This was the perfect foundation for the company to grow, and it grew quickly. Leveraging the expertise that Jose Pepin gained from launching the Tatuaje, San Cristobal, or La Aroma de Cuba brands, he had the expertise to bring this vision to life. Along with his eponymous Don Pepin Garcia brand, all the pieces were in place for Pepin to take the company to new heights.
In 2008, Jaime Garcia developed the original and top-rated My Father blend which was a tremendous accomplishment. In 2009, the family moved their thriving operation to a state-of-the-art factory and farm in Estelí, Nicaragua, that would take on the name of Jaime’s incredible new top-shelf blend. The opening of My Father Cigars S.A. brought forth a new, prosperous chapter for My Father Cigars, and the Garcia family dream became a reality.
In Miami, the operation consists of a tenured team of cigar rolling experts, a meticulous quality control process, and a massive warehouse and distribution facility to keep up with the growing demand. Through the growth, the family is all heavily involved in all aspects of the business from seed to ash ensuring that the My Father Cigar brand matches the standards set by Jose Pepin so many years ago.
Today, with a slew of 92-plus ratings, My Father Cigars are widely considered to be one of the most highly acclaimed brands in the premium cigar industry with a diverse portfolio of top-quality blends. They are one of the only companies in the industry to have received the prestigious #1 Cigar of the Year award two times.
