NATURAL / NON-MADURO CIGARS
The term "Natural" is a broad category that encompasses a wide variety of cigar blends and wrappers. Cigars that are not Maduro are generally referred to as Natural cigars. The main difference between Natural and Maduro cigars is their color, with Natural cigars being light in color and Maduro cigars being dark in color. The word "Maduro" is Spanish for "mature" or "ripe".
Other types of cigar wrappers that we include in our Natural Cigar Type Category are:
Connecticut
A common Natural wrapper that is light-tan or golden-blond in color. Connecticut cigars are known for their tasting notes of almonds, cashews, cedar, and buttered toast.
Corojo
A wrapper that is slightly darker than Connecticut and is known for its pepper and spice.
Habano
A wrapper that originates from Cuba but is also grown in countries like Nicaragua and Ecuador.
